Microsoft Windows Mobile will be Available in three Designs
Microsoft hardware partners, HTC and LG, will release their Windows handsets based On three designs named Chassis-1, chassis-2 and chassis-3. In this way they could reduce hardware cost and create brand identity.
Chassis-1 will be a reference design for smartphones and smartbooks with large touchscreens and fast processors. The processor will of 1GHZ and will increase to 1.5GHZ after one year of release.
After this design Chassis-2 will be supporting a smartphone with a slide-out keyboard under the touchscreen display.Chassis-3 will a candy bar design.
Microsoft strategy is quality not quantity may be that’s why windows mobile 7 is limited to only three designs.
